We are receiving so many messages asking when we are reopening, hopefully this will put your minds at rest.
As you know, we could in theory have reopened in May. We have chosen to wait patiently until such time when we don't have to worry about social distancing regulations before we finally open our doors again.
We need to be 100% certain that when we reropen, we will be able to generate enough income to not only pay the bills, but also ensure that our cinema team get paid. Social distancing means a greatly reduced audience for us, around 40 out of 195 seats being filled, but unfortunately our outgoings will remain more or less the same. We also need to be sure that the right movies are available and that they are movies that we know you will like.
Our Covid-19 safety measures are in place with screens, sanitiser stations, one way markers etc all in place. We have beautiful new ladies loos and the accessible toilet is almost complete as well. A new staff area is going to keep the team happy along with fantastic upgrades to our projection equipment including an automated system that allows the movie to be started at the push of a button with the curtains and lighting automated too. We now have the ability to provide our hearing and visually impaired friends with an amazing cinema experience, something we've been waiting to achieve for many years. You'll even be able to book your ticket online or over the phone if you want to.
So whilst we share your disappointment we are also filled with excitement about the improvements we've made. We know you will love them too.
As you know, you'll never keep a good picture house down! Thank you for all of the support you've given us over the last year. We know you'll be there for us when we reopen. We will see you all soon, we promise GO BACK
